Tees athlete finishes Paralympics for Britain
Competing in his first ever Paralympic games, 32 year old Middlesbrough fencer Lee Fawcett had the honour of being Britain's last contestant in the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing.
He was knocked out by world championship bronze medallist Serhiy Shenkevych of Ukraine, finishing fourth in his pool.
He said, "I was unfortunate to get Shenkevych in the last 16. I thought I was in with a chance, but I attacked him four times from the same position and he just sussed me out. That's why he's one of the best in the world."Lee only switched to fencing from basketball in 2005, but still made it through to the last 16 in the individual sabre category B competition.
