Paralympian Lee Fawcett visited the the children at Gibside School in Gateshead. Lee shared his paralympic experiences with staff and children and also explained how some of the paralympic values helped him achieve some of the dreams he has in sport. Lee said"It is great to visit the schools and see how excited the kids are for the forthcoming Olympics and Paralympics. To only inspire one person would make me happy. But for people to be inspired by me give me such satisfaction."
Jo Harwood who is a teacher at Gibside school expressed her delight at Lee's visit saying "Thank you to Lee for visiting us at Gibside School. His talk was inspirational to staff and children. We loved asking him questions and seeing his medals. We are delighted with how he brought the paralympic values to life for us."
