Lee Fawcett gets gunged for International Wheelchair Day
On the 1st March 2012 Newcastle Eagles wheelchair basketball team supported International Wheelchair Day. International Wheelchair Day was set up by The cloud 9 Community and Wheelchair Steve to help raise awareness of people in wheelchairs. The event was held at Percy Hedley Sports Academy were the Newcastle Eagles wheelchair basketball team played an exhibition match for all those who attended. The event was also supported by multi Paralympic Gold medalist Stephen Miller. To help raise money Newcastle Eagles players Adam Parry and Head Coach and former Paralympian Lee Fawcett agreed to enter the gunge pool in order to raise money for this great cause.
