On the 25th June 2012, Lee Fawcett visited the kids at Priory Woods School in Middlesbrough. It was such a privilege to be a part of such an exciting opening ceremony. Each class in the school were given a country to represent and the atmosphere as each class(country) marched down the school hall was quite inspiring. When we all reached the hall everyone was seated and Lee delivered his inspiration talk which the young people fully enjoyed. But the day belonged to the kids and Lee presented all the medals to winners of activities that the kids had already taken part in.
Lee spent a lot of the day with the reception and year 1 class. They showed Lee their medals that they had made and asked Lee some very funny question I.E "How do you get dressed?" and "Where do you sleep?"
Which of course Lee answered with some humour.
Lee then spent an hour coaching and teaching the young people some fencing. This brought back some fond memories as it has been almost 4 years since Lee quit Fencing to return to Basketball. The visit was a great success and Lee is looking forward to visiting Priory Woods again in the future.
